How to Prepare for Laser Hair Removal?

1

Avoid Sun Exposure: Avoid sunbathing and tanning for 3 weeks before the procedure to reduce burn risk and ensure laser effectiveness.

2

Do Not Tweeze Hair: Avoid plucking, waxing, or sugaring 3–4 weeks before, as these methods remove the root the laser needs to target.

3

Do Not Use Depilatory Creams: Do not use hair removal creams a few days before, as they may irritate the skin.

4

Shave the Area Before the Procedure: Shave the area beforehand to help the laser reach hair follicles more precisely.

5

Do Not Apply Cosmetics: Avoid creams, lotions, or deodorants on the treated area the day of the procedure.

6

Mandatory Consultation: Attend a consultation to check for contraindications and plan treatment.

Number of laser hair removal sessions

Typically, a full course of laser hair removal requires 8 to 12 sessions, depending on hair type, color, thickness, and treatment area.

The laser is most effective during the active growth phase of hair. Since hairs are in different stages of growth, multiple sessions are needed with intervals of 4–8 weeks.

After completing the main course, it is recommended to have 1–2 maintenance sessions per year to sustain the results.

Medilase Pro: Advanced Diode Laser for Hair Removal

Medilase Pro is equipped with a cooling system, and the handpiece can cool down to -20°C, significantly enhancing the comfort of the procedure. This minimizes pain and reduces the risk of skin irritation. Such cooling allows for hair removal even on sensitive areas of the body with maximum convenience for the client.

What is electrolysis?

Electrolysis is currently the only method for permanent hair removal approved by the FDA. During the procedure, a very thin needle is inserted into each hair follicle, through which an electrical impulse is delivered. This destroys the follicle and prevents future hair growth.
